At CTM, we believe that upskilling our workforce is the key to future success. By equipping our team with new skills, we help them stay relevant, perform their jobs better, and enable them to transition from primarily physical tasks to more skill-centric roles with the aid of advanced tools. We also invest in developing our own training department that creates specific programmes related to the environmental service industry, a unique and niche offering within Singapore.
CTM Commitment: 100% Well-Trained Team
We place a strong emphasis on providing comprehensive training programmes for our employees. As an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) certified by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), we meet the highest standards for staff training. We are committed to maintaining a 100% trained workforce, with each member holding at least two Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQs). Moreover, we promote lifelong learning and encourage our people to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date.
CTM was the first in the industry to establish a Company Training Committee (CTC) in collaboration with worker unions and government bodies such as TAFEP and IMDA. This initiative helps prepare our team for the new skillsets required in a more digitalised workplace.
Our training capabilities extend beyond in-house programmes. We deploy our trainers to our partners’ sites, providing customised on-site or on-the-job training programmes tailored to the specific needs and unique situations of each location. For example, we provide training for emergency chemical spillage and biohazard cleaning for clients dealing with such materials daily, ensuring our team is capable of handling potential issues that arise on site.
Positive Feedback Loop to Stay Relevant & Impactful
CTM champions a structured training programme that includes classroom training, on-the-job training (OJT), and specialised training programmes leading to diplomas or certificates. Our commitment to continuous improvement means that our training programmes integrate feedback from operational realities as well as relevant Subject Matter Expert input, making them more effective and support our people in delivering satisfaction to our partners.
To ensure the highest quality of our training and development programmes, we have a dedicated Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) department. This department is tasked with auditing and ensuring the quality of our training initiatives, maintaining a continuous feedback loop to refine and enhance our training methods.
