Diverse Streets, Unique Challenges
Singapore's streetscapes are as diverse as the city itself, ranging from busy highways to quiet local roads. Each type of road comes with its own set of challenges and characteristics. Major highways, for instance, require swift and efficient cleaning to keep traffic flowing smoothly and to minimize disruptions. For these, CTM employs an array of vehicles, including our latest electric autonomous mobile sweepers. These advanced machines not only clean effectively but also reduce manpower needs and are environmentally friendly, underscoring our commitment to sustainable practices. In contrast, areas like Clarke Quay and Marina Bay demand a more delicate touch. These iconic locations thrive on ambience, and large, noisy equipment would be out of place. Here, our highly trained teams use customised tricycles that allow them to move swiftly and quietly, ensuring the area remains clean without disturbing the serenity that both locals and tourists appreciate. This approach demonstrates our ability to blend tradition and innovation, utilising both dedicated personnel and modern tools to create a cleaner, more enjoyable environment.
Integrated Approach for Holistic Result
Maintaining the streetscape involves more than just cleaning the roads. It’s a comprehensive task that includes managing the surrounding foliage to prevent fallen branches from becoming hazards and ensuring that drainage systems are functioning correctly to avoid water accumulation. Standing water poses significant risks, from causing vehicles to aquaplane to potentially damaging the road itself. Our approach to streetscape management is an integrated one. Each environment requires a tailored strategy to ensure that every aspect of the road and its surroundings is well maintained. This integrated approach allows us to address a variety of challenges with precision and care, ensuring that Singapore’s streets remain safe and functional for all users.
Our Commitment for Mobility
CTM is responsible for managing and cleaning over a thousand kilometres of roads in Singapore. This significant responsibility is a testament to the trust placed in us by the NEA and reflects our consistent ability to deliver high-quality results. We view this not just as a job but as a contribution to society, helping to make every day commutes safer and more pleasant for everyone. Behind the scenes, our work involves deploying the right strategies, using comprehensive solutions tailored to specific environments, and ensuring that every aspect of the streetscape is well taken care of. Our integrated public cleaning service exemplifies this approach, addressing each challenge with precision and care. Through our efforts, we aim to enhance the everyday experiences of countless individuals, ensuring that every journey on Singapore’s roads is safe and enjoyable. CTM is committed to excellence and innovation in every sweep and stride, playing an indispensable role in maintaining Singapore’s vibrant urban landscape.
